Sumner is a dog of many talents. He loves running around off leash, scenting and chasing deer, squirrels and anything else that dares to cross his path. In fact, Sumner is so trustworthy and well trained that he can get within two feet of Schade's parents’ free-range chickens and stop on her command.
And while Sumner is no stranger to training, he also enjoys a life of luxury. Sumner serves as the official toy, treat and food tester for Schade’s store, Life on the Leash. Sometimes, he’s even so audacious as to stick his nose in her purse at the end of every day to see what she’s brought for him.
Sumner also knows how to work the camera. When Schade plans holiday-themed photo shoots for her blog, he is a willing model patiently wearing everything from reindeer antlers to St. Patrick's Day wigs. And according to Schade, Sumner is as sweet as he is handsome.
