By now, you might be wondering how a German breed with an Irish owner wound up with an Italian name. It’s quite simple really. When Bella entered Maggie McLaughlin’s life, she had just returned from a trip to Italy. Combing both heritage and travel, the Euro-mashup seemed quite appropriate.

Bella’s day is typically spent garnering attention from both human and canine admirers alike and, of course, playing with her bones. But it’s a rare occasion when Bella actually gets to chewing one. Instead, she tends to “throw” them. Bella’s aim is impeccable, particularly if McLaughlin is on the phone.

But with her sweet nature to outweigh her mischievous side, McLaughlin is convinced that the luck of the Irish was with her the day she brought home Bella.
